Ash is a wonderful wood to work, it has both strength and flex but above all, the wood teaches you a huge amount about bow making! Our one day courses focus mostly on shaping and tillering to teach you the very heart of bow making. Using hand tools you will rough out the shape of the bow before you teach it to bend aiming to produce a “full compass” bow to your draw length.
