Ash longbow making kit

Description

We hand select the wood to give you the very best chance of making a successful bow and it comes straight from the same stock that we would make a bow from ourselves. Please note that these are bespoke products that we make to order so please do expect a short delay before dispatch. If you require the kit by a certain date please do get in touch to check timings.

Ash longbow making kit comes complete with the following:

Ash stave cut from straight grained hand selected board from local suppliers supplied at a thickness suitable for your desired draw weight.

Hand made string with inlaid loops at both ends

Pre-drilled horn blanks for you to carve to shape

Stringer which can be used as a long string for early tillering. The provided bow string will stretch on first use so you will need to twist it up further throughout the tillering process.

Suitable for those who want to practice the skills that they learnt on one of our courses. These require a basic understanding of bow making and are not guaranteed to be a bow though we carefully select the wood to give you the very best chance of success, the rest is down to you.
